Cape Breton Fiddler Colin Grant and Guitarist Scott Macmillan are as individual musicians, immense talents winning the 2017 East Coast Music Award for Traditional Recording of the Year for their CDGOOD2GO. Together they’ve created a Duo with a musical proficiency and synergy that is spellbinding. Their compositions and arrangements are fresh, unpredictable, yet traditional, jazzy, bluesy and full of the love of music, which is infectious to the listener. Colin Grant’s hard driving performances & versatility has him on the forefront of the East Coast traditional music scene, performing regionally & internationally. Scott Macmillan is driven to create music. His ‘Celtic Mass for the Sea’ is performed often and internationally including at Carnegie Hall. He’s had a role expanding Atlantic Canadian music audiences for over 40 years, playing a pivotal role with Rita MacNeil and the Rankin Family Band.
